You Are What You Eat

A very wise science teacher once told me, “You are what you eat.” As an athlete, you’re always looking to get an edge over your competition. What you eat can make the difference between being an athlete who slowly tires in the 4th quarter or one who can run all day.

Athletes react differently to different types of foods. It’s important to listen to your body and stick with foods that work for YOU.

YOU need to take responsibility for the things you put in your body. Showing up to a practice or game with an empty stomach or with a stale piece of fruit you found in the cafeteria is nobodies fault, but your own. It’s important to plan, prep, and be prepared in any situation by bringing your OWN food.

In order to eat healthy, you need to know which foods are healthy, how to know if they are healthy, and where you can find healthy snacks.
