FLG Boys Class of 2021

Jack Cornell (D/LSM, Island Trees)– Cornell is as fundamental as they come. A methodical thinker, he understands individual principles as well as team concepts very well. His on ball approaches are renowned, and is never afraid to D up the biggest and baddest attacker’s. Cornell has great size and smarts. You want him on the Man Down Unit. 

Cristian Lembo (D, Farmingdale)- A Bull in a china shop, Lembo is not afraid to throw his body around. Great size and exceptional feet, he can lay wood while still maintaining positioning. Communicates and can support his teammates in the rotation. Great attitude and is very coachable

FLG Girls Class of 2021

Sarah Fava (M/D, Lynbrook)- Sarah is a lockdown defender who can shut down her opponent from any angle. She always knows the right time to slide and always is communicating with her teammates around her. She has a tremendous lacrosse IQ that benefits her as well as her teammates on the field. She does not make it easy for the attack to go to goal at all.

Tess Ferguson (A, Baldwin)- Tess is one of those players who takes control of the offense from behind the cage. She is a huge asset to the team and takes advantage of being a lefty attacker. She works very well with her teammates always looking to feed and push the ball quickly around the offense. Tess is not afraid to challenge her defenders and go to goal. She is very shifty behind the net and can pull off the twizzler shot. She is such a fun player to watch.

FLG in 3D Summer Shootout Recap

On July 12th through July 14th, the FLG in 3D Summer Shootout took place at the beautiful Maryland Soccerplex in Boyds, Maryland. With over 100 + college coaches in attendance, these boys participating in the Summer Shootout gave their all in trying to showcase their skills in front of college coaches.  Some teams stood out more than others as the following teams were allowed to call themselves champions:

NYSRC Impact Players

On July 22nd through July 24th, the second annual New York State Regional Championship took place at Binghamton University. The best players from ADK, Central, Hudson Valley, Nassau, NYC, Parochial, Suffolk, and Western wanted to show why they are the best region in their respective grad year. All of these young adults showed why they deserve to play on this big stage, but some players really turned it up to another level.
