FLG Girls Lacrosse — College Recruiting Program
YOUR DAUGHTER’S RECRUITING COACH IS AN ACTIVE DIVISION II HEAD COACH.
Not a retired coach. Not a recruiting consultant. An active head coach — recruiting right now, with relationships at every level of the game.
Meet Your Recruiting Director
Dawn Sachs is the Head Women’s Lacrosse Coach at Mercy University — a position she has held for 14 seasons, compiling a 139-79 record and earning five ECC Coach of the Year awards, including 2025. She is not a former coach who pivoted to consulting. She is still on the bench, still recruiting players for her own program, still in daily contact with coaches at every level from Division I down through DIII and club.
When Dawn calls a program on behalf of your daughter, she is calling as a peer. Those calls get answered.
As FLG’s Girls Director of Recruiting, Dawn works directly with every FLG family to:
- Assess your daughter’s realistic college options at every level
- Build a target school list based on fit — academic, athletic, and geographic
- Contact coaches directly on your daughter’s behalf
- Guide you through the recruiting calendar, timeline, and communication strategy
- Prepare your daughter for official/unofficial visits and the commitment process
The Recruiting Platform
LILJ Events
Corey Winkoff serves as Head of Staffing for the Long Island Lacrosse Journal Open Series Events, bringing Division I, II, and III college coaches to work with and evaluate players at our tournaments. These are structured evaluation environments — not just exposure.
Showcase Tournaments
FLG competes at top-tier regional tournaments throughout the year where college coaches actively scout. Our coaching staff knows which events matter and which don’t — and they position your daughter to be seen by the right programs.
St. Anthony’s Connection
With Corey Winkoff embedded in the St. Anthony’s HS Girls Varsity program — a nationally-recognized college placement pipeline — FLG has direct relationships at every tier of collegiate lacrosse.
Active Head Coach Network
Dawn’s active role as a Division II head coach means direct peer-to-peer relationships with college programs at every level — built on years of conference play, NCAA Tournaments, and coaching circles.
