Our coaches don’t just teach the game — they’ve lived it at the highest levels. FLG’s leadership team brings Division I playing experience, national championship credentials, and active college-level coaching to every session:
- Corey Winkoff (Program Director) — Former 4-year varsity starter at the University of Pennsylvania (Ivy League), 2nd all-time in career assists at Penn, 2x New York State Champion as a high school player, inducted into the Cold Spring Harbor Athletic Hall of Fame
- Dawn Sachs (Girls Director of Recruiting) — 2x NCAA Division II National Champion as a player; 5x ECC Conference Coach of the Year; 14-year head coach at Mercy University with a 139-79 record and 4 NCAA Tournament appearances
- Christian Michaels (Director of Player Development) — 2x USILA All-American, 2025 ECC Goalkeeper of the Year, Molloy University all-time program leader in career saves; Co-Founder of Supreme Lacrosse Academy
- Lisa Christiansen (Goalie Development) — Former USA National Team goalie coach, longtime collegiate and high school varsity coach
Corey Winkoff and Christian Michaels both serve as assistant coaches for St. Anthony’s High School Girls Varsity Lacrosse — a nationally recognized program that has posted perfect, national championship-winning seasons.

FLG doesn’t just expose players — we get them placed. We have put 70+ players into college programs since 2017, with our Girls Director of Recruiting being an active Division II head coach with direct, ongoing relationships across every level of the college lacrosse world. We know which programs are recruiting, what they’re looking for, and how to position your daughter to succeed.

📅 Elite Year-Round Training
Elite players are built over years — not in a single season. FLG’s year-round calendar is designed to produce the most complete, technically advanced, and athletically dominant players on Long Island:
- Fall: 20 team practices, 2 tournaments, top-tier 7v7 league
- Winter: 14 indoor team sessions, 14 positional training sessions, 14 speed & agility sessions with Victory Sports Performance, LILJ Winter League
- Spring/Summer: 30+ practices, 5 tournaments, 3-day summer camp
🥅 Elite Goalie Development
FLG’s goalie program — led by former USA national team goalie coach Lisa Christiansen — is among the best in the region. All goalies who make a select team receive a custom Cascade goalie helmet, exclusive training sessions throughout the year, Zoom development sessions, and alumni mentorship connections.
🎽 A Complete Elite Player Experience
FLG Select Team players receive a full custom gear package: reversible jersey, game shorts, sweatshirt, sweat pants, shooting shirt, and backpack. Training sites include Destination KP in Kings Park and Town of Huntington Fields. Players become part of a genuine lacrosse community built on high standards, championship culture, and lifelong relationships.
