Recruiting is run by a current college head coach
Dawn Sachs is FLG’s Girls Director of Recruiting and the active head women’s lacrosse coach at Mercy University. She assesses where your daughter realistically fits, builds a target list, and calls programmes herself. Corey Winkoff staffs the Long Island Lacrosse Journal events that bring college coaches to evaluate players.
Every practice is the same system, at every age
Small-sided games with one thing changed on purpose, coaches trained to ask rather than tell, and a certification every coach completes before her first session. That is what makes a Tuesday in February worth the drive.
Love Lax starts at kindergarten
No positions, no lines, no position sessions — everything is a game, and success is a kid who wants to come back next week. From third grade the select season begins, one age band at a time.
Coached by people who have played and are still coaching
Our coaches have not just taught the game, they have lived it: Division I playing experience, national championship credentials, and active college-level coaching. Corey Winkoff and Christian Michaels are both assistant coaches at St. Anthony’s High School girls varsity, a nationally recognised programme.
