10 Reasons Why We’re Organized

“Individual commitment to a group effort – that is what makes a team work, a company work, a society work, a civilization work.” – Vince Lombardi

The FLG Lacrosse, Inc. staff is comprised of five (5) full-time members and over 30+ coaches. The relationship with our players, parents and business partners is a key component that makes us a successful business. One attribute that has helped identify our brand on a consistent basis is our organization as a group which allows us to limit and learn from our mistakes. Below are the 10 reasons why FLG Lacrosse is organized:
1. Leadership
This trait remains second to none. From our administration to our coaching staff, our leadership has allowed us to thrive. Every day, talented men and women instill values in our players which motivate them to become leaders on and off the field.

2. Experienced
Our full-time staff consists of former lacrosse players and coaches. Each individual has a unique background and past work experiences that adds to the FLG mission. These dynamic individuals are well versed in accounting, finance, business, education, and collegiate athletics.

3. Caring
When all is said and done, lacrosse is secondary. We care deeply about our players’ well-being and the college choice they make. Likewise, we care greatly about our players’ development and growth as young adults.

4. Diligent
We are thorough, meticulous and hard working. We are not a 9-5 company. Our service to our players and their families is a top priority.

5. Professional
We are honest and forthcoming. No one is left in the dark. Information can be easily accessed through our website. We have organizational meetings and seminars throughout the year to keep players and their families informed on our policies and procedures.

6. We’re Different
We are not trying to be better than anyone else in the lacrosse community. We just choose to do things uniquely which separate us from the rest of the lacrosse community.

7. 24/7
Every FLG coach and staff member is readily available when someone has a question. Whether it be a weekday, weeknight, or weekend, we are always available.
8. Communication
We utilize various web-based programs and applications (i.e. Constant Contact, TeamSnap) to keep coaches, players, and parents informed about upcoming events, changes to practices and game times, and cancellations. In addition, full-time FLG staff members are equipped with remote access capabilities.

9. Proactive
At FLG, we say that “everything should have been done yesterday.” The preparations for summer and fall showcases begin months in advance. Down payments to register for tournaments and showcases are done six months out. We work with a travel company to locate and secure group bookings at a reasonable rate for hotels within close proximity of the competition site.

10. Innovative
Every Friday morning, we conduct a week-in-review/marketing meeting. Our intent is to brainstorm and establish news ways to garner interest in our product. Recently, it was discussed how we could alleviate the amount of daily telephone calls and reach a wider audience with our summer showcases. We established the, ‘FLG Web Series.’ This is a free interactive webinar that allows interested parties to view (right from the comfort of their own home) a wide variety of topics ranging from the recruiting process to playing the right way at a showcase.
