Matt brings high-level coaching experience and an intense dedication to developing elite young athletes to the FLG 2036 program. His demanding approach pushes players to improve every session — building the fundamentals, athleticism, and competitive mindset that set FLG players apart.
Corey Winkoff
Coach / Program Director
Corey is FLG’s Program Director and plays a key role in player development, recruiting mentorship, and staffing top coaches across all FLG programs.

The FLG 2036 Select Team is built for the most competitive young players on Long Island — athletes who are serious about reaching the highest level of the game. Coached by Doug Kocis, Libby Courtemanche, Matt Buttafuoco, Corey Winkoff, and Spencer Butwin, this program trains players year-round with a championship mindset, top-tier instruction, and a culture of accountability and toughness.

*All goalies who make an FLG select team will receive a custom Cascade goalie helmet with decals and throat guard
Our goalies receive dedicated development training from elite coaching staff throughout the year, giving them the specialized attention and tools they need to excel at the position.
